Terrell Austin brings 10 years of experience to her role as the Director of Partner Relations. Helping students explore specialized career paths to apply their skills and knowledge in real-world settings is the hallmark of her work. Amy Morrill Bijeau University Advisor, Experiential Education Director
Amy Morrill Bijeau has worked in higher education administration and experiential learning for approximately 20 years. As the Director of Experiential Education, she provides ongoing guidance regarding internship best practices and enjoys leveraging technology to support students. Amy has a MEd in Counseling and Higher Education Administration from the University of Virginia and a B.A. in French and Religion from Wake Forest University.
Marissa Whitaker started working with the Washington Semester Program and AU Gap Program in March 2020. Marissa has a background in recruiting and career development, and earned her BA in Politics and International Affairs at Wake Forest. She is excited to engage with students and support their academic success during their time at AU, and beyond!
Donna Chapman WilliamsUniversity Advisor, Student Services
Donna Chapman Williams manages student services which includes housing, meal plans, student IDs, orientation, student accounts, financial aid, student conduct and conflict, student health services (health insurance and immunizations), and metro passes. A graduate of American University's School of Public Affairs, Donna welcomes Washington Semester Program students as guests at AU.
Adam AnthonyAssistant Dean
Adam joined the School of Professional & Extended Studies in May 2019 as the Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Programs, overseeing the Washington Semester, Gap Year, and Mentorship Programs. Prior to AU, he served as executive director of the William & Mary Washington Center, establishing a wide variety of academic programs for William & Mary students in DC and helping to grow the university’s presence in the Washington area. He previously served as a program director for the Council for Excellence in Government, a Vice President at Fleishman Hillard public relations, and in a variety of positions in electoral politics. If you want to hear about his enthusiasm for the Washington Nationals, the U.S. Women’s National soccer team, or mountain biking, just ask.
