In addition to the many religious services that take place in the Kay Center, the Office of the University Chaplain hosts many on-going signature programs throughout the semester. Our events are designed to provoke thought, stir discussion, and to build community across the campus.

Join the University Chaplain every Tuesday* any time between 2p.m. and 3p.m. for free tea, conversation, and space to pause from your busy week. Depending on weather, this event will be held at Kay steps or Kay Lounge Lower Level. All are welcome! (*During the fall & spring semesters when class is in session)

Join AU’s University Chaplain & Staff from the Kay Spiritual Life Center in a fun fitness challenge during the 5th and 10th weeks of every fall semester! 

1. Choose a preferred fitness activity (Walk, Bike, Run, Swim, etc!)

2. Distance: 5K (5-KAY!) during week 5 and 10K (10-KAY!) during week 10

3. Post: Share about your experience using the following hashtags

  • #WeekFive5KAY (5th week of classes)
  • #WeekTen10KAY (10th week of classes)

This challenge is for the entire AU community, alumni, and families! Participate as an individual or connect with fellow AU community members and divide out the mileage (Note: This is a self-reported activity, no registration required!)

About once a month during the academic year, the Office of the University Chaplain hosts a vegetarian lunch program to meaningfully connect the AU community. Past topics have ranged from climate change & food choices to capitalism in a cosumerist culture.
