The 2013 commencement speakers are: former EPA administrator Lisa P. Jackson (SPA), DreamWorks television co-president Darryl Frank (SOC), anthropologist and physician Paul Farmer (CAS), business mogul Gary Veloric (Kogod), Carnegie Endowment senior associate Moisés Naím (SIS), and former State Department legal advisor Harold Hongju Koh (WCL).
Dr. William (Billy) Walker, deputy director of athletics at the United States Air Force Academy, has been named American University’s 14th director of athletics and recreation. He will lead AU’s intercollegiate athletics program, which includes more than 250 student-athletes competing in 16 varsity sports.
