Inclusion is...

American University staff members share what "inclusion" means to them.

"Inclusion" has a different meaning for everyone. Making efforts to understand different perceptions allows for stronger understandings of others.

We encourage you to reach out to your floor's Resident Assistant or Community Director, or to the Center for Diversity and Inclusion about inclusion on our campus. Read more about actions American University is taking by visiting the Office of the President's Diversity & Inclusion page. Read President Burwell's September 27 memo Standing Together Against Hate.

Check back every Tuesday and Thursday for a new video. Let us know what "inclusion" means to you by tagging us @HomeAtAU on Facebook or Twitter, and using the hashtag #InclusionIsUs.
