Online Learning Group

The Online Learning Group

  • offers training and individual consultations to faculty interested in teaching online or hybrid courses.
  • share alternative teaching models for continuing classes when inclement weather or other circumstances make it difficult to meet face-to-face.

The primary group training class takes place during the Spring, designed for faculty who have been awarded a course development grant by the Office of the Provost for teaching an online course during the Summer. Additional group training is available during the year, based upon request from individual faculty members or academic programs.

The Online Learning Group, in collaboration with the Teaching & Learning Resources Group, also offers training on emerging digital tools and platforms (such as social media) that can be used in both distance education and face-to-face classrooms.

For information on the training courses or to request an individual consultation, please contact James Lee or Paul Prokop.
